The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka invites interested private sector parties to submit proposals to invest & develop following lands for mixed development & other recreational activities.

1. KADOLKELEWATTE. SEEDUWA

LOCATION : Land called Kadolkele Watte, Liyanagemulla, Seeduwa
Approx. 25km from Colombo and 10 km from Negombo

2. FORMER TELECOM LAND, EKALA. KOTUGODA

LOCATION : Land called Telecom Land at Kotugoda, Ekala within the Ja Ela Pradeshiya Sabha area of Gampaha District. The distance to the site from Colombo is approx 19km.
TOTAL EXTENT : Approx. 90 acres

PRESENT LAND USE
: Flat land more suitable for mixed, urban activities
INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES : Via Ja Ela -Minuwangoda main road Three Phase electricity and Telephone facilities available.
OTHER LOCATIONAL FEATURES : Proximity to the Katunayake EPZ and Katunayake Airport.
Adjacent to BOI Houseing Project.

Interested Investors are required to furnish the following details and documents for evaluation and consideration.

    • Experience in mixed development project.

    • Source of funding

    • Current Investment in similar activities

    • Preliminary design for the proposed site prepared by an Architect/Town Planner with relevant technical details

    • Other related activities proposed

    • Targeted dates of commencement and implementation period for each activity.

    • Price offered for 50 year lease

The selected investors who invest in excess of Rs.500 Mn. wiIl be eligible for zero-rated income tax for a period of 3 years and concessionary taxation thereafter. They will also qualify for duty free imports of capital goods within the period of project establishment (3 years) incentives under Section 17 of the BOI Law.

Proposals for each site should be forwarded separately on or before 15th August 2002 for consideration under sealed, confidential cover and marked "investment Opportunities In Housing" on top left hand corner of the envelope.
