ROOFS

Roof Covering

A roof is a device that covers the interior of a building from the sky. Its most important function is to provide protection from weather.

01. Flat Roofs

These could be constructed out of timber or concrete. The methods basically are similar to that of floors


02. Pitched Roofs

i.Monopitched Roof
A pitched roof sloping in one direction only.

ii.Lean - to - Roof
If the upper end of a sloping roof abuts a wall, it is called a Lean-to-Roof.

Couple Roof

This is a form of ridge roof sloping down in two directions from a central apex or ridge as it is technically called. This should not be used for spans over 3m.
